Yes, Taylor Swift Had A MySpace Back In The Mid ’00s… And Yes, It’s As Embarrassing As You’d Imagine!

We do not envy her right now…

Taylor Swift may be the most famous pop star in the world right now, but it’s always important to remember to keep your idols grounded.

Luckily, a Tumblr page is currently doing the Lord’s work by documenting all of the 26-year-old’s embarrassing MySpace posts from the mid-00s… and it’s pretty much the stuff of Katy Perry‘s dreams!

We’re talking emo haircuts, skateboard styling, and as many cringe-worthy quotes as you can imagine — basically everything that you did as a teen but hope no one ever sees again.

Such as this gem:

However, the real awkward moments aren’t found in picture form… No, it’s TayTay’s personal blogs that are really driving home the secondhand-embarrassment:

“I love people. Seriously.” — 2006

“I saw a black squirrel outside my bus, climbing up a tree. It was a BLACK squirrel. I mean, who knew that squirrels were ever anything but gray? I walked around telling everybody about it, and nobody believed me. It was great.” — 2007

“I’m in Florida right now, and it’s HOT outside. It’s kinda funny since we were just in Pennsylvania and it was freezing.” — 2007

“Notice all the weird pictures I’ve been putting up? Well, my laptop has a camera in it, and so I’ve been taking all these different pictures with different color treatments and stuff like that.. I love it.” — 2007

“My family decided to fry the turkey this year. It sounded like a pretty cool idea, I give them credit for originality.” — 2007

“The HIGHLIGHT of my TRL experience was getting to talk to Rihanna. I love Rihanna. She’s amazing and gorgeous and SO cool to talk to. A lot of the time, superstars have huge entourages around them and its really intimidating and weird. But Rihanna had one, maybe two people with her. It was so cool to see that. We talked backstage during commercial breaks and she was real and outgoing and funny. Yay. :-)” — 2008

Woah.

So is grownup Taylor’s perpetual entourage specifically engineered to be “intimidating and weird”?

It’s official: We want a re-release of 1989, only with those quotes substituted as the lyrics!

We see you, Hayley Williams
